The Great White Egret which frequented the rush on the far side of the Loch for the last few weeks appears to have moved on.


Drying Out!

With the Loch now free of ice the Cormorants have appeared – not the best sight, a bird ‘drying out’ after fishing, but at least it indicates that there is something to fish for! Smaller fish wouldn’t stand a chance against that beak!

Sadly this small Wren succumbed to the severe weather.
The Heron was frustrated hunting for food!
